Holden Special Vehicle
Holden Special Vehicle is the official performance vehicle partner of automobile giant of Australia, Holden. They are responsible for modifying Holden models including Commodore, Caprice, and Ute. A 1987 establishment of Holden, HSV was set up as a joint venture with Tom Walkinshaw Racing, an enterprise established by the Scottish racecar driver Tom Walkinshaw.
HSV or Holden Special Vehicle was a replacement to another joint venture called Holden Dealer Team, which was dissolved during early 1987. Holden Dealer Team was a special vehicles operation that was managed by Peter Brock until it ceased operation in February 1987.
Since its inception, HSV has manufactured many cars under its name, the first being Holden VL Commodore. SS Group A SV back in 1988. VL Commodore vehicle inspired the model. Various modification were made in its standard Holden 5.0 litre V8 engine that is able to churn up to maximum horse power of 241 at 5200 revolutions per minute.
